For Siltronic, we photographed silicon wafers in a production setting that combines technical product presentation with advertising-style staging. The focus was on the wafers’ circular geometry, smooth surfaces, and characteristic reflective properties.
Using Light and Reflections Strategically
The reflective surfaces posed special challenges for lighting and camera positioning. Even small changes affected the reflections and, consequently, the overall impact of the product.
In our product photography, we made strategic use of these reflections to highlight the shape and material. A minimalist design draws the eye to the wafers and their surfaces.
The subsequent image editing complemented the photographic execution without altering the character of the material.
