THEODOR HERZL PRIZE AWARDED TO CHANCELLOR DR. ANGELA MERKEL.
Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel received the Theodor Herzl Prize from the World Jewish Congress (WJC). Several speakers, including Mayor Dieter Reiter, Minister President Markus Söder, President of the Central Council of Jews in Germany Josef Schuster, and WJC President Ronald S. Lauder, praised the Chancellor’s commitment to preserving Jewish life in Germany and her advocacy for Israel’s security.
