Realized by Daniel Schvarcz Photography

Excellent food photography can only be achieved in close collaboration with the client. The client’s vision, the desired visual language, and the company’s image are all incorporated into my photographic design. If photos of the cooking process are required, I work on-site in the kitchen, capturing the unique ambiance there.

In food photography, preparation is an enormously important aspect. There is no one-size-fits-all solution for this – perfection only arises through cooperation with the client, a feel for the products and the establishment’s style, as well as the styling of the food or dishes.

A food photograph that evokes emotions consists of many ingredients: for example, the skillful use of lighting, the placement of shadows, and the appropriate dynamics of the photo. Digital post-processing then gives the food photo the finishing touch.

You also benefit from my many years of expertise in the field of food photography. I would be pleased to develop the ideal concept for fantastic food photos with you. Before commissioning, you will receive a corresponding offer and precisely defined services and prices you can rely on.

FAQ – Questions & Answers on Food Photography

Can we take the food photos at my restaurant?

Certainly. Generally, I take almost all my food photos “on location,” meaning on-site at the restaurants.

How long does such a photo shoot take?

There is no blanket answer for that. I have taken food photos in less than five minutes – but sometimes the perfect photo can also take hours. Generally, the better the preparation, the faster food photography can be realized.

Is a food stylist always required for food photos?

As a rule, I handle food styling in cooperation with the head chefs. Creative solutions, technical craftsmanship, and over 20 years of professional experience allow me to fulfill my clients’ wishes in food styling as well.
However, for some productions, it makes sense to integrate a professional food stylist into the workflow. This expands creative options and increases efficiency on set through division of labor.
I can offer you a suitable food stylist from my professional network.

Which perspective is best for food photography?

That depends on the desired style and the specific dish.
I would be pleased to assist you with the conception of the best solution.
