On behalf of the Jewish Community of Munich and Upper Bavaria, we documented the presentation of the World Jewish Congress’s Theodor Herzl Award. The award was presented to then-Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel.
Speakers and guests included, among others, Dieter Reiter, Markus Söder, Josef Schuster, and the then-WJC President Ronald S. Lauder.
Speeches, Awards, and Encounters
Our event photography captured the key moments of the awards ceremony as well as the personalities in attendance. The photo essay combines the official program with encounters that took place during the event.
