We photographed the new Terminal 1 pier at Munich Airport. Our focus was on the interior design, the spatial dimensions, and the interplay of materials, technical elements, and light.
The architectural photographs were taken before the new pier opened for regular use. This allowed us to photograph the spaces without the hustle and bustle of passengers and to document their design, layout, and spatial relationships.
Interior Design and Building Structure
Spacious overviews illustrate the dimensions and layout of the terminal area. Supplementary perspectives and detailed views highlight individual design elements and functional areas.
In our visual design, we used lines, spatial depth, and symmetry to present the architecture in a clear and understandable way. The combination of overall views and closer perspectives makes both the building’s structure and the transitions between areas recognizable.
Materials, Glass Surfaces, and Light
The spacious interiors are characterized by large glass surfaces, technical fixtures, and various light sources. The goal of the photographs was to bring these elements together in a cohesive series of images and to realistically capture the existing lighting atmosphere.
We paid close attention to natural proportions and precise perspective alignment. This ensures that the spaciousness of the rooms remains visible without distorting their actual impact through exaggerated wide-angle views.
Visual Material for Communication and Documentation
Photography taken before the facility opened for regular use allowed us to document the new terminal area in a clean, uncluttered state. The resulting series combines architectural overviews with details of materials and design.
The images can be used for corporate communications, public relations, presentations, project documentation, and architectural publications. Different perspectives and framing options provide a versatile selection for these purposes.
