For Navina-Sphere Pole Dance, we carried out a people and dance photography shoot right in the studio. The focus was on the participants’ acrobatic movements and individual poses.
To achieve this, we set up a mobile photo studio on site. This allowed us to create controlled lighting conditions within the familiar training environment.
Movement and Form in Black and White
The series was deliberately shot in black and white. As a result, posture, tension, and form determine the impact of the photographs.
We tailored the lighting to the spatial conditions and the various acrobatic positions. The goal was to create a unified visual language that also allows for the individual expression of the participants.
