For the Augustinum Foundation, we created a virtual 360° tour of the entire “euward 8” exhibition at the Haus der Kunst in Munich. The tour documents the exhibition spaces and the works on display, allowing visitors to explore the exhibition regardless of location or opening hours.
Making an Exhibition Digitally Accessible
The virtual tour captures the arrangement of the works within their spatial context. Visitors can move through the exhibition and explore the presentation even after it has ended.

The European Art Award for Painting and Graphics in the Context of Intellectual Disability
Since 2000, the Augustinum Foundation has awarded the euward every three years. This art prize is internationally the most important award for art in the context of intellectual disability. Its aim is to promote unknown artists and make their work accessible to the public.
A jury of renowned experts selects three award winners from applications across Europe. They receive an exhibition of their works at Haus der Kunst in Munich. Additionally, they are supported with cash prizes and a catalog of their work, totaling approximately 19,000 Euros.
Recently, the art of people with intellectual disabilities has increasingly developed. Alongside the tradition of “Art Brut” or “Outsider Art,” it now forms a new artistic scene. Often, “Supported Studios” provide the talents with the conditions to realize themselves as freelance artists.
The euward aims to make visible the artistic quality in the work of these cultural outsiders. The award reveals their significance for our culture. Their visual creations are a vital impulse for contemporary art. Purely social aspects play no role in this.
